  Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Telecom with 8 years experience of which two years in GSM related area.
• Should be well conversant with the installation, operation and maintenance of mobile communication technology, modular system.
• Specialized training in advanced mobile communication system shall be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are desirable attributes.

  Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs detailed planning and evaluation of GSM transmission system.
• Co-ordinates with System Development Section to draft GSM contract specifications and assists in the evaluation of tenders as necessary.
• Monitors and ensures efficient, cost effective and timely maintenance of Q-TEL's national GSM system including BTS and multiplexing equipment as appropriate.
• Exercises and controls network management, co-operates with Traffic Engineering unit (Performance) to resolve technical problems.

  Qualifications:

• A degree in Information Technology with special emphasis on Internet studies from a reputed university.
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in the field of Internet related activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A good command of the English language.

  Duties & Responsibilities:

• System Administration of Netscape Messaging and Directory Server.
• Design of new electronic mail delivery systems.
• Maintaining and documenting electronic mail Messaging systems.
• Working on Proxy Servers to insure optimum performance.
• Maintaining the Web and File Transfer Protocols.
• Working on User Accounts Database
• Maintaining Sun Workstations and Installation of Sun Solaris Operating System and fine-tuning for optimum performance.
• Daily Administration of Internet Systems.

TECHNICIAN (GSM)

  Qualifications:

• Diploma in Engineering preferably in telecommunications.
• Three years experience in similar function preferably in a telecom organization.
• Should be well conversant with mobile transmission/radio equipment and base station equipment so as to independently install and maintain such equipment.

  Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installs, commissions and operates GSM Base Station.
• Identifies faults or indications of fault in base station equipment.
• Analyses the fault and rectifies minor faults. Major faults are attended to in conjunction with the Asst. Engineer or Engineer.
• Carries out fault finding, repair and maintenance of Base Station, OMC.R and associated equipment.
• Carries out shifting and removal of equipment in the Base Station.
• Participates and assists in testing and commissioning of equipment.
• Monitors the OMC.R terminals and takes appropriate actions on alarms, events, reports etc.

  Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 15 years experience in the supervision of bridges and road works.
• Computer literate.
